Ways to challenge

Ways to challenge a decision

Choose what the decision or problem is about. Plenda lists the ways to challenge it or take it further, what each one can and cannot change, and its time limit.

Plenda sets the ways out side by side. It does not tell you which to choose, and the order of the list is not a ranking.

This form asks only for choices and dates. Leave out names and reference numbers. Nothing you enter is stored, and nothing goes in a web address. Read the privacy notice.

The decision letter

If you have a letter, or a final or amended plan, give its date. Plenda uses it to work out the time limits. Leave it blank if you do not have one yet. If the letter was sent later than the date printed on it, give both: the day it was sent as the date of the letter, with “The day it was sent” chosen, and the date printed on the letter in its own box. The 2 months to contact the mediation adviser can count from the printed date, and the last day to appeal counts from the day it was sent.

Add more detail

Everything here is optional.

Mediation, if there is no certificate yet

Only if there is no mediation certificate yet. Choose the latest step and give its date, or leave both blank. The certificate comes after the step, and the last day to appeal may run from the certificate.

Which sections?

Only for a final or amended plan. Tick the sections of the plan the disagreement is about, or leave them all blank.

Plenda gives general information, not legal advice. To work out every date in a case, use Work out your dates.
