Explain
Decision letters and appeal rights information
For most decisions that can be appealed, the council's letter must tell the parent or young person about the right to appeal, the time limit and mediation. It must also tell them about disagreement resolution and information and advice services. Some letters must also give reasons, or mention the tribunal's power to make health and social care recommendations. Plenda checks a letter for these items and lists any not found in the text supplied. A missing item may matter in a complaint or a late appeal; Plenda does not say what effect it has on the decision.
