Explain
Section G (health care provision)
Section G sets out the health care provision the child or young person needs because of the learning difficulties or disabilities that cause their special educational needs. For example, nursing care or a plan for managing a medical condition. The health body responsible, usually the integrated care board, must arrange it. Health care that educates or trains the child or young person belongs in Section F instead.
The Code of Practice says speech and language therapy should normally be recorded as special educational provision in Section F. Section G cannot be appealed on its own. In an appeal about a plan, for example about Section B, F or I, the SEND Tribunal can make recommendations about it.
