Explain
Section I (school, college or other placement)
Section I names the school, college or other institution the child or young person will attend, and says what type it is. If none is named, it gives the type of school or college. The draft of a new plan must not name a school, college or type. If a school or college of a kind listed in the Act is asked for, the final plan must name it unless a legal exception applies. Section I can be appealed to the SEND Tribunal, including when nothing is named. An appeal only about Section I does not need a mediation certificate.
