Explain
EHC plan (education, health and care plan)
An education, health and care (EHC) plan is a legal document for a child or young person with special educational needs, from birth up to age 25. It sets out their needs, the outcomes sought, and the help they must get. The council must make a plan when, in the light of an assessment, the help they need has to be given through a plan. The Act places a duty on the council to secure the special educational help in the plan.
