Explain
Outcomes
An outcome is the benefit or difference that help should make for a child or young person. The Code of Practice says outcomes should be specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and time-bound (SMART). An outcome is not the help itself. "Will have speech and language therapy" describes help. "Will be able to ask an adult for help in class by the end of Year 4" describes an outcome. Outcomes go in Section E.
