Explain
Section D (social care needs)
Section D sets out the child or young person's social care needs that relate to their special educational needs or to a disability. Social care means support from the council's social care services, such as help at home or short breaks. Section D cannot be appealed on its own. In an appeal about a plan, for example about Section B, F or I, the SEND Tribunal can make recommendations about it.
