Explain
Section H1 (social care under the 1970 Act)
Section H1 sets out social care that the council must provide for a disabled child under 18 under section 2 of the Chronically Sick and Disabled Persons Act 1970. This can include practical help at home, help to take part in activities outside the home and to travel to them, adaptations to the home, holidays, and non-residential short breaks. Section H1 cannot be appealed on its own. In an appeal about a plan, for example about Section B, F or I, the SEND Tribunal can make recommendations about it.
